Teen brothers killed in Brunswick shooting, neighbors say

BRUNSWICK, Ga. – A 17-year-old and a 19-year-old in Brunswick are dead after a Monday morning shooting, police told News4JAX.

The teens were found shot inside a home on Brailsford Road near the corner of Second Street, according to the Brunswick Police Department.

They were taken to the hospital, where they died.

Police do not have any shooter information at this time.

News4JAX spoke to neighbors who said more than one person was at the home during the shooting.

“Before, there was a bunch of arguing carrying on then all of a sudden, I heard gunshots. Then someone yelled, ‘He shot my brother! He shot my brother!’ The next thing I knew, cars were peeling off and people were running around the corner. I heard someone calling for the police,” the neighbor said.

We also spoke with a cousin of the 19-year-old victim.

She said the two who were killed were brothers. She told News4JAX that around 3 a.m., she got a phone call about the shooting that sent a familiar feeling through her mind.
