JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Night to Shine, an event sponsored by the Tim Tebow Foundation and hosted by a group of local churches provides an unforgettable experience for people with special needs and their caretakers.
Night to Shine returns to Jacksonville and attendees are greeted with a party atmosphere from the moment they arrive.
Patric Young, this year’s emcee, emphasizes the importance of celebrating individuals who often go unrecognized.
“This is an opportunity to do something very special for a lot of families, not alone, let alone our prom kings and queens, but some families to do something that maybe they never thought they’d have a chance to do for their for their kids, for the family,” Young said.
The event features a red carpet, a dance floor, and even a glam squad for picture-perfect moments.

Catarina Griffith, special needs director for The Church of Eleven22, believes that Night to Shine’s impact extends beyond the event itself.
“I don’t see this night as an ending point. I really, truly see this night as a launching pad,” Griffith explained.
She hopes that both guests and volunteers leave with a new perspective on disability and form friendships with those who think, walk, and talk differently.
