City of Jacksonville offering free tax services to veterans and their spouses

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Beginning Wednesday, the City of Jacksonville said it will offer free tax services to veterans and their spouses.

The initiative seeks to help veterans navigate the complexities of tax preparation while showing the city’s commitment to “supporting our veterans and ensuring they have access to the resources they deserve.”

Services will be available by appointment. To access the free tax services, you will need a DD-214 or veteran status ID.

All appointments to access the services should take place at the Military Affairs and Veterans Department Office inside City Hall.

Appointments can be made Monday through Thursday with the first available time slot at 9 a.m. and the last available slot at 2 p.m.
