ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County School Board is asking for input from the community on the leadership qualities desired in its next superintendent.
The district is looking to hire a superintendent to replace Tim Forson, who announced he will retire on June 30.
The district said the community’s feedback is crucial in helping them identify the best leader to guide the district toward continued success.
The Superintendent Search Public Survey, conducted by the Florida School Boards Association in collaboration with the St. Johns County School Board, is an essential part of this process.
Your responses will help shape the application process and develop interview questions for candidates.
The district emphasized that it is seeking input from any member of the community, not just parents, families, and staff.

The district said all information will be reported to the St. Johns County School Board to be used to:
- identify qualities and characteristics desired
- build the desired profile
- screen
- design questions for applicants
- guide interviews
In addition to questions about personal leadership qualities, instructional excellence and performance accountability, the survey offers a chance for participants to share written comments.
