JACKSONVILLE. Fla. – A Jacksonville firefighter died on Wednesday night in a car crash in Baker County.
The Board of Directors of the Jacksonville Firefighters Death Benefit Fund said on social media that he was involved in a single-vehicle crash.

Lt. Brannon Blom was assigned to Ladder Company 10, A-shift, and was a Jacksonville Benefit Fund member.
Currently, his funeral arrangements are not known but will be posted on social media in the future.
“We ask that you keep Lieutenant Blom’s family, close friends, and his station mates at Fire Station 10 in your thoughts and prayers as they adjust to life without him,” his fellow firefighters wrote in a Facebook post.
According to a JFRD report, before becoming a lieutenant, Blom was an engineer. He was also featured in a March 2019 Fire Department Connection journal.
