JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars' search for their next head coach is in full swing, and bettors have begun to release their picks on who the team will ultimately choose to lead the organization.

While the consensus pick among the fanbase has leaned toward Lions offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, various oddsmakers actually believe Tampa Bay Buccaneers offensive coordinator Liam Coen is the favorite to land the position.

A website titled “Bookies.com” has Coen at +450, followed by Johnson once again at +500, Brady at +550, and former Jets head coach Robert Saleh at +550.

Bet365 has Coen at +110, Johnson at +250 and Brady at +700.

Coen served as the Bucs OC for the first time in 2024 and had the offense looking spectacular for most of the season, finishing third overall in yards per game, passing yards per game, and fourth overall in rushing yards per game and overall points.

This all occurred despite missing star wide receivers Mike Evans and Chris Godwin for multiple games.

Before taking over Tampa Bay’s offense, he served as an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach for the University of Kentucky, where he helped the Wildcat offense put up prolific numbers.

Coen was also a quarterback for the University of Massachusetts Amherst (UMass) from 2005-2008, so it’s safe to assume he understands how to conduct a successful offense, which is something Shad Khan said he is looking for after the Jags offense was “too predictable” this past season.

The Jaguars have completed interviews with multiple candidates, including virtually with Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, Raiders defensive coordinator Patrick Graham, and both Lions coordinators in Johnson and Glenn, while the team met in person with Saleh Tuesday morning.
