Sunday morning, Clay County Sheriff Michelle Cook announced on her Facebook page that Umbaugh was safely reunited with family members, and more details are coming soon.

“We appreciate everyone’s willingness to share her photo and information as we worked to locate her. Our investigative efforts are ongoing and anyone who may have encouraged her to run away, assisted in hiding her, or kept her whereabouts unknown to law enforcement will be held accountable,” Ben Ryan, the spokesperson from Clay County Sheriff’s Office said.

Umbaugh’s case sparked huge attention, resulting in search parties in Clay County. When speaking with Umbaugh’s family a week ago, they emphasized that she was more than just the photo that was circulating and that she is loved and missed.
