This event offers a safe and environmentally friendly way to dispose of used cooking oil, outdated electronics, broken batteries, and holiday light strands. However, paper shredding services will not be available during this event.
City of St. Augustine residents are also encouraged to prepare their holiday trees for recycling.
Starting Jan. 8, unadorned trees can be placed curbside for pickup with regular yard waste collections.
Residents are reminded not to include holiday light strands in their household recycling bins.
