JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The City of Jacksonville is making headway on the revitalization of Metropolitan Park.
The concept design, which was based on community feedback, was previewed at an open house Wednesday at the Main Library in Downtown Jacksonville.

The public was able to discuss plans with the design team, explore interactive stations with project highlights and find out the next steps in the design process.

The revitalization project is part of the larger Jacksonville Riverfront vision, as plans for the new stadium, Jaguars headquarters and Four Seasons Hotel are underway.

With a location next to EverBank Stadium along the river walk, the city has long planned to revitalize the park.
The project is supported by $12.5 million allocated in the City Capital Improvement Plan.
The design has not yet been scheduled for construction.
