The toys and bikes were lined up throughout the convention center as a large crowd of children rushed in to find that special gift.

Christina Akins and her family were one of the first to line up to the toy drive. She’s an artist who was on the hunt for tools to better her craft.

“I couldn’t find much art supplies,” Akins said.

But she said she was happy with the toys she did get.

Almost every child News4JAX spoke to said they were hoping to get a bike and Caleb Calder was one of the ones who got one.

“I’m so happy I got this because it means a lot to me,” Calder said. “My other bike got too small and it was getting deflated.”

Calder was part of the family who was first in line. He said he had no clue how he was chosen for the bike, but he’s so grateful he got it.

“I’m feeling really lucky and I hope everyone who is watching this feels lucky because every day is a special day for something new,” Calder said.

News4JAX had a booth at the toy giveaway.
