JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Following the closure of several local venues, a brand-new music venue is set to bring life to downtown Jacksonville in 2025.

Located at 323 E Bay Street, Decca Live will officially open on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2025, with a sold-out grand opening show headlined by Grammy Award-nominated Electronic Dance Music (EDM) artist Kaskade, the music venue announced.

The venue is located in the historic building of the former Florida State Theater Company. It sits adjacent to The Justice Pub, Live Bar, and Myth Nightclub & Element Bistro, and is just a few blocks from Underbelly Live.

The venue features a large open-floor layout with a mezzanine overlooking the crowd. The venue will also feature a rooftop bar with views of the St. Johns River.

The rooftop will open daily at 4 p.m., closing at midnight from Sunday to Wednesday and at 2 a.m. from Thursday to Saturday.

Decca Live boasts a capacity of 1,000 people, which is twice as much as Underbelly and more than half as much as the Florida Theatre. With the venue’s capacity, it fills a void in Downtown Jacksonville left by Mavericks Live.

Mavericks, located on the second floor of the Jacksonville Landing, had a capacity of 1,500 and attracted artists such as Luke Bryan, Lil Yachty, and De La Ghetto.

Mavericks closed down in 2019, leaving up-and-coming national and international music acts with one less place in Downtown Jacksonville to perform.

Now, with the opening of Decca Live, music fans can expect to see more up-and-coming music acts come to Jacksonville for their next tours.

Decca Live is owned by the ownership group of Eric Fuller, Shawn Rouf, Evan Rajta, and Aleksander Lukaj.

Co-owners Eric Fuller and Shawn Rouf are both Jacksonville natives with years of experience in the nightlife industry.

BLNK CNVS, an event and promotion company based in South Florida, is working with Decca Live as a talent buyer for the venue. The majority of the events BLNK CNVS operates feature EDM artists.

On Dec. 27 & 28, BLNK CNVS is partnering with EDM artist Mersiv to host Sonar Sessions: A New Year’s Celebration in downtown Jacksonville on the historic USS Orleck. The two-day event will feature sets from various bass artists.

With the involvement of BLNK CNVS, the opening of Decca Live will bring more EDM artists to the River City. Touring EDM artists typically come to Myth Nightclub.

Jacksonville already has a budding EDM scene with groups like Rinse & Repeat Records, the Wub Tub, Rat Trap Records, Lucky Duck Promotions, and Social Sparx Cooperative all hosting events featuring local and touring EDM artists.

With Decca Live, the local EDM scene will grow to even greater heights.
