JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A dispatcher has resigned from her position with the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office after she was charged with battery by Jacksonville Beach Police.
According to JSO, the incident, which involved three women attacking another woman, was first reported on Sunday, May 19.

Investigators later identified 25-year-old Joy Rachel Stingley as one of the women involved in the attack, and JSO announced her arrest on Wednesday.
As the incident was being investigated in Jacksonville Beach, Stingley was hired by JSO as a dispatcher and started work on July 1.
She resigned after her arrest.
JSO said a woman flagged down a Jacksonville Beach Police Officer just before 10:30 p.m. on May 19 near 1st Street North and 3rd Avenue North.
She told the officer she had been robbed at a local business by three women who attacked her and stole her purse.
The woman continued working with police to identify the attackers, JSO said. Her help along with surveillance video in the area led to Stingley being identified as one of those involved.
Investigators said they learned she did not take the woman’s purse but she did commit battery against her.
Stingley was arrested with help from JSO’s Integrity Unit and was taken to the Pre-Trial Detention Facility.
