And 365 days later, their families are still pressing for answers.

Bennett’s mother, Alexis Bennett, was remembered as a “great kid” who loved to play football.

“He was really becoming a man,” she said.

Tre was known as a loving father who always made his family laugh.

“Tre' was the family clown. He kept us laughing,” his mother, Kalisha Jefferson, said.

Lyons' family recently celebrated what would have been his 23rd birthday on Nov. 9.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said it has identified a suspect, who has been in custody for an unrelated crime but has not been charged in the double murder.

Despite receiving several tips, the sheriff’s office still has not arrested anyone.

SJSO urged the community to continue to provide tips that can help land those responsible behind bars.

“We just need answers,” Alexis Bennett said.

Cody’s mother wants closure to move past the loss of her son.

“It’s extremely hard with not having them, and we know this community has the answers we need. We’re talking about two great kids that were loved in the community.” Bennet said.

Jefferson also echoed Bennett’s sentiments.

“If you know something, say something,” she added.
