JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A Jacksonville organization called Krumpin 4 Success is still looking for a food truck that was stolen almost two weeks ago after someone broke into the gate and took it.
Krumpin 4 Success founder Dr.Shanna Carter said the truck was used for its culinary apprenticeship program for at-risk youth and those coming out of incarceration.
“It wasn’t just about taking a food truck, it was taking funding and opportunities for people that we work with that can’t just go out sometimes and get a certain job, and they need money,” Carter said.
She hoped the person or people responsible would return the truck.
“First, I would say that we’re very disappointed, not just because it was a food truck, but because we give tirelessly every single day to this community. We give back to this community,” Carter said.
She said the thief affected more than just business.
“You affected the lives of people that we work with that are coming out of incarceration. So not only did you affect their lives, but many of our participants have families. So all of those things are different reasons for us to hope that you will have some type of heart, either to give it back,” Carter said.
Carter said the organization is working on finishing everything with the insurance company before working to get a new truck.
