Paw & Order: K9s United hosts canine crime fighter competition Saturday at Bishop Kenny

JACKONVILLE, Fla. – Saturday is going to the dogs at the third annual canine crime fighter competition.

Hosted by local nonprofit K9s United, the event will be from 1-5 p.m. Saturday at the Bishop Kenny High School Athletic Complex on Kingman Avenue.

To crown the next top dog, the K9s will compete in various tasks, including wall jumps, tunnel crawls, bailouts, apprehension and much more to showcase their skills as police dogs.

Awards will be presented to the top three K9 competitors in each category: fastest, hardest hitting and obstacle course.

The event will also include a fun-filled day of activities for families in attendance.

Photo opportunities will also be available with the K9s present that protect and serve local communities in the Jacksonville area.

Tickets are $5 for adults, and attendees 18 and under are free. Pets are not permitted to attend the competition for safety reasons.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at K9sUnited.org/Events or upon entry; parking is complimentary.

All proceeds will help K9s United to fulfill the nonprofit’s mission to support working law enforcement K9 units.
