We tracked down the Jaguars couple that got married at a pool cabana in EverBank Stadium. This is their story

Is love the reason behind multiple Jaguars wins? This story might just convince you.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – A couple from Colorado flew to Jacksonville to get married at an extremely unique venue most people don’t have on their wishlist: EverBank Stadium.

We first learned about the couple on Oct. 6 when the Jacksonville Jaguars hosted the Indianapolis Colts. Some fans were happily surprised that day to not only see a Jaguars win but to also witness a man and woman dressed up in wedding attire.

News4JAX viewer Pedro Amador, who News4JAX has interviewed in the past for a separate Jaguars-related story, posted the photo below on X and said, “They BETTER not lose today 🐆🐆🐆.” His post got more than 38,600 views and 530 hearts.

When we saw Pedro’s post, we knew we had to find the couple! News4JAX did a callout of social media, and within hours, we found the newlyweds Daniel Warfield and Brittany King Warfield.

News4JAX Sports Anchor Jamal St. Cyr interviewed the couple over Zoom since they flew back to Colorado after the wedding, and he asked some hard-hitting questions.

The two, who have been together for four years, said they met at a bar and have been inseparable since.

“We met through friends as we were about to play darts at a bar one night, and she showed up and I gave her a ride home. And you know, ever since then, we’ve been pretty much inseparable,” Daniel Warfield said.

Daniel told News4JAX he grew up in Jacksonville’s Mandarin area, and that’s when his love for the Jaguars began.

“We‘ve had season tickets since ’95 through ’01. I was 5 years old when they became a team, and it was pretty, pretty awesome as a childhood. So, I’ve been a Jags fan my whole life. And you know, we got her on board shortly after we met,” he said.

Daniel said that was one of the “requirements” that came with marriage; Brittany had to understand the Jaguars-crazed man she would soon marry.

Daniel originally wanted to hold his bachelor party at EverBank Field, but it was too expensive. That’s when the idea for the wedding came in.

“He had wanted to do his bachelor party there,” Brittany said. “And we got in touch with Brian, the ticket sales rep, and he came home one day really sad because it was kind of out of our price range, and we just thought about it for a little bit. And then one day we just decided, like, hey, let’s just do our wedding there, you know? And, because that was in our price range. Everybody showed up and yeah, it was cool, fun.”

The couple said they never wanted a traditional wedding.

“It was definitely not your traditional wedding,” Daniel said. “We booked the pool cabana, so we got 50 tickets to it. And, you know, we invited our 50 closest people and pretty much made them fly across all parts of the nation and come watch the Jags win with us. So it was pretty...I couldn’t think of a better wedding, to be honest with you.”

“We were able to have the wedding, celebrate and then watch football. Like, what better way to celebrate,” Brittany said.

We asked Brittany what it was like being at the game in her dress.

“I knew the dress was going to get destroyed,” Brittany said. “But it was fun. Some people thought it was a Halloween costume. Other people were like, ‘Oh, my God, did you just get married?’, and I was like, not yet, but I will be soon. We’re getting married up on the pool deck.”

The wedding was perfect. And the cherry on top? The Jaguars won! Could it be that the love between Brittany and Daniel puts enough good vibes into the air that it keeps the Jaguars coming out on top? It’s possible...

“It’s actually funny, you know, we were out in Florida to see my mom, last November, and we went to the Titans game, and, I asked her to marry me after that game, and my mom told her, she said, ‘If they didn’t win that game, he wasn’t going to ask you’. I would’ve just been in an awful mood. So, they’ve really entwined through our whole marriage so far, the Jaguars,” Daniel said.

So one win is great, but it just keeps getting better and better as their love grows stronger and stronger.

“We celebrated our wedding reception on Saturday, here in Colorado for the family that couldn’t make it to the wedding, and the Jags won Sunday,” Brittany said. “So, the Jaguars stay winning on our wedding weekends,” Daniel added.

When Daniel was asked about the Jaguars season, he had some thoughts.

“Not great, honestly,” Daniel said. “But, you know, I don’t think any Jags fan right now is too happy. But, we did get a win last week. We got two tough games coming up. But, you know, I ride with the Jaguars no matter what. We’ve been through some bad seasons way worse than this. So, I sort of hope we can pull it out and I hope we can turn it around. You know, I trust Doug. I trust the team. And I think, you know, I’m excited to see what they can do. I’m not gonna cash in and yeah, screw the draft picks and all that. You know, I think we have a chance. And I’ll always think that until mathematically out.”
