How big is the gap in Jacksonville?
In Duval County, the mortgage denial rate for Black applicants is 20%; while it’s only 8.7% for white applicants. That’s an 11.4% gap.
Emily Dowdall, president of policy solutions for the Reinvestment Fund, joined us on The Morning Show to talk about the systemic problems that go beyond income to create the mortgage income gap.
