Clay County schools earn excellence in academics award out of 67 counties

Clay County school recognized as academically high-performing school district (WJXT)

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – Clay County District Schools is again recognized as one of Florida’s top-performing school districts out of 67 Florida counties.

The district earned the academic excellence award for the 2023-2024 school year and is recognized as an Academically High-Performing School District. Ten Florida districts were awarded.

The achievement highlights the district’s educational success and the hard work of its students, teachers, and staff.

In order to receive the award, school districts must earn an “A” grade for two consecutive years, comply with class size requirements, and have no material weaknesses or instances of material noncompliance noted in their annual financial audit.

“We are honored to be recognized again as an Academically High-Performing School District. This achievement reflects the unwavering dedication of our educators, students, and families. Clay County is a fantastic place to live, work, and educate our children, and this designation further underscores that commitment to excellence,” Superintendent David Broskie proudly stated.
