Early voting in Georgia begins on Tuesday for the upcoming presidential election.
Georgia counties offer about three weeks of early voting.
According to data, more than 3.4 million of Georgia’s 7.6 million registered voters voted early in the 2020 general election.
- Ware County saw 0.3% of turnout
- Camden saw nearly .4%
- Pierce and Glynn had the highest with a 0.5% turnout

On Monday several new election rules took effect in Georgia:
- One provides poll watchers with greater access to voters, election workers, and areas inside polling places.
- Another requires election workers to verify by hand the final day vote tally after the polls close on election day.
- Also, counties must issue a daily report with details of which voters cast votes early or through absentee ballots.
The new rules are the focus of several lawsuits and could delay the certification of the state’s election results. A judge will hear arguments Wednesday on the poll watcher and hand count rules.
Voting early
Georgia voters can vote early at any location within their county and all Georgia counties offer early voting on at least two Saturdays.
Camden and Ware counties are the only counties in our area to offer Sunday early voting in this election.
