JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Hundreds of people took to the streets Sunday afternoon to celebrate love, inclusivity and equality at the 2024 Jax River City Pride Parade.

The parade and festival draw thousands of community members each year who line the roads to celebrate and experience love, acceptance and friendship.
The festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 5, 2024.
The parade began at 2 p.m. and will be a 1.5-mile celebration through the Historic Avondale/Riverside/5 Points community. It starts at Historic Willow Branch Park and ends at the 5 Points roundabout. The JaxRCPride festival marketplace opens from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Riverside Park (The Duck Pond) in the Historic 5 Points District.

“This year, more than ever, we are celebrating self-acceptance, dignity, equal rights, and the visibility of LGBTQ+ individuals!” River City Pride wrote in a newsletter. “Our theme is more than a statement. We are shouting that We are here. We are family. We are parents. We are friends. We are partners. We are coworkers. We are community. We are Jax BOLD, Jax PROUD.”
