ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. – The St. Johns County Parks and Recreation Department launched a new app to give users an interactive platform for community engagement, education, and exploration.

Officials said the app allows users to find parks, beaches, amenities like skate parks, dog parks, boat ramps, etc., with interactive maps.

“We love that the app gives our residents an easy way to sign up for our park programs as well as learn more about the parks themselves, not to mention our beaches, boat ramps, and everything in between,” Community Program Manager Tess Simpson said.

Users can easily register for programs and events and listen to region-specific audio tours about county history.

Officials said the location-based audio tours can be downloaded to be listened to well into the future.

“There’s so much history in St. Johns County, and on park properties, that we thought this would be the best way to let people experience it in a convenient format,” Parks and Recreation Director Ryan Kane said.

The SJC Parks and Rec app is available to download from the Apple App Store and Google Play.
