ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is looking for a vehicle believed to be involved in a deadly hit and run that occurred in St. Augustine Saturday, August 21.
According to the initial FHP crash report, a truck driving westbound on State Road 16 during the early morning hours of Saturday, August 21, hit a man who was walking in the lane near Old Town Parkway.

After the truck hit the man, the driver left the scene in the vehicle. The man was pronounced dead on the scene by St. Johns County Fire and Rescue. He was 47-yeas-old.
St. Johns County Fire and Rescue and Florida Highway Patrol are asking for people in St. Johns and Duval Counties to report possible sightings of the truck, which is possibly a 2013 white Ford F150 with a sunroof with the left front headlight missing. There should also be visible front-end damage on the driver’s side of the truck.

Anyone with information as to who was behind the wheel at the time of the crash is asked to call Florida Highway Patrol or the St. Johns County Sheriff’s office by dialing 911.
