Duval County man wins $2M playing Florida Lottery scratch-off

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A 46-year-old man from Duval County has claimed a $2 million top prize from a Florida Lottery scratch-off.

He opted for the one-time, lump-sum payment of $1,280,000, which he took home from the Lottery Headquarters in Tallahassee.

The man bought the winning 100X THE CASH Scratch-Off game winning ticket from G & W Food & Smoke at 2921 Monument Road in Jacksonville.

The retailer received a $4,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

Scratch-Off games are an important part of the Lottery’s portfolio of games, comprising approximately 74% of ticket sales in fiscal year 2023-2024. Additionally, since inception, Scratch-Off games have awarded more than $65.5 billion in prizes, created 2,283 millionaires, and generated more than $19.80 billion for the state’s Educational Enhancement Trust Fund (EETF).
