As 2024 comes to a close, it’s time to wrap up this chapter and begin preparing for 2025.

What could be a better way to bid farewell to 2024 and welcome the new year than enjoying a free dazzling fireworks display?

If you’re considering traveling to see fireworks, here’s a list of places to visit on Tuesday, Dec. 31.

Duval County

Downtown Jacksonville New Year’s Eve Fireworks

  • Fireworks begin at midnight along the St. Johns River in Downtown Jacksonville.

“Say goodbye to 2024 and ring in the New Year with a spectacular fireworks display over the St. Johns River. Make your way down to the waterfront with friends or family before midnight to snag a great seat for the festivities. Fireworks will begin exactly at midnight.”

Nassau County

Amelia Island & Shrimp Drop, Fernandina Beach

  • Fernandina Beach is known for its annual Shrimp Drop! Locals and visitors alike will gather along the riverfront in downtown Fernandina Beach to watch a giant shrimp covered in lights fall from the sky as part of an annual tradition to welcome a new year. The actual event begins at 5 p.m., with the countdown to the shrimp drop and fireworks occurring at 7 p.m., the City of Fernandina Beach Government said.

St. Johns County

Light Up the Night! New Year’s Eve Fireworks Show

  • 350 A1A Beach Blvd. St. Augustine Beach, FL 32080
  • St. Augustine Beach’s New Year’s Eve fireworks display begins at 8:30 p.m. at the St. Johns County Ocean Pier.
  • A shuttle service will operate from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. from Anastasia Baptist Church to the three viewing locations on the beach.

Valdosta, Georgia

Wild Adventures Family First Night & Fireworks (Must purchase a ticket)

  • 3766 Old Clyattville Road, Valdosta, GA
  • Fireworks begin at 8 p.m.
