Jacksonville named No. 2 labor market in U.S.

River City second only to Salt Lake City in Moody’s Analytics ratings

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – If you’re looking for a job, Jacksonville is apparently one of the best places to be.

Moody’s Analytics came up with a list of the best labor markets in the nation and Jacksonville was No. 2 on the list, second only to Salt Lake City.

And when you look at the statistics from the latest University of North Florida Local Economic Indicators Project, the job future remains positive through summer.

And the encouraging news for Jacksonville doesn’t end there.

A Wall Street Journal report ranked the River City first in the nation in change in labor force size, second in payroll change, sixth in unemployment and 32nd in labor force participation.

Job growth is also a trend statewide.

It’s statistically strong, according to Moody’s in Orlando, Tampa and Miami. All three cities continue to register job increases as well.
