What you need to know about heart attacks during deadliest week of year for heart health

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – We all know the holidays can be stressful, but you might not know that more people die from heart attacks in the final week of the year than at any other time.

In fact, the deadliest day is Christmas itself, followed by Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.

A survey found 79% of people overlook their health needs during the holidays and find this time of year even more stressful than tax season.

Caitlin Brunell, executive director of the American Heart Association First Coast, spoke with The Morning Show about noticing your risk and the moves you can make to help.
