JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – News4JAX is celebrating Pride Month this June by highlighting our unique and vibrant local LGBTQ+ community, and Wednesday, we’re shining a light on the LGBTQ Community Fund.
The fund was established by donors at The Community Foundation for Northeast Florida in 2014. The goal is to help build an inclusive community for LGBTQ people in Northeast Florida.

The making of those grants is funded by endowments supported by donors, including Delores Barr Weaver, the Chartrand Family, Michael Meyers and Chad Labenz, Glenn and Michael Miller, and Jesse Kraker and Kevin Gay.
Local groups that have received grants include JASMYN, the Nonprofit Center of Northeast Florida, Fernandina Beach Pride, the Queer Trans Project, and Equality Florida.
The fund’s endowments ensure that support for nonprofits serving our community will last long term.
The foundation said this year’s grants have been decided and will be announced later in June during Pride Month.
Applications for funding will open again in early 2026, and nonprofits can get more information on the available grants by signing up for emails at jaxcf.org.
