Olivia Hoblit, a former chair of the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Association Board of Directors, came to the U.S. with her family from the Philippines when she was 15.
She eventually fell in love with the hospitality industry and became general manager of the Seaside Amelia Inn and the Ritz-Carlton Amelia Island.
She was named regional manager of Innisfree Hotels and was appointed by Gov. Ron DeSantis to the Florida Housing Finance Corporation Board of Directors.
Hoblit is currently the director of lodging operations at the World Equestrian Center in Ocala.
In addition to her leadership in the hospitality industry, Hoblit is also a philanthropist.
She and her husband created the Trinity Love Hoblit Foundation in honor of their 14-year-old daughter, who died from a ruptured brain aneurysm in 2015. The foundation supports and funds neurological research and treatment at Wolfson Children’s Hospital and other facilities.
