Die-hard Georgia-Florida fans pack RV City ready to tailgate & party ahead of rivalry showdown

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Every year, fans of the Georgia Bulldogs and Florida Gators hop in their RVs and head to Jacksonville for a multi-day football tailgating celebration.

“RV City,” as the parking area for the recreational vehicles is known, is first-come, first-served, so every season, fans jockey to be first in line and wait for days before the gates are open.

Located directly across from EverBank Stadium in Lot E, RV City has become a staple of the Georgia-Florida football experience.

It officially opened at 8 a.m. Tuesday with the game still days away -- and all parking spaces are taken.

The Georgia-Florida website says the devoted RV City fan community “embodies the camaraderie and tradition that has made this matchup one of the best in the nation.”

Fans of both teams will join forces for food and fun until Saturday’s showdown at 3:30 p.m. at EverBank Stadium.
