JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Sip & Stroll made a comeback Thursday on Jacksonville’s Southbank Riverwalk with a culture-focused program to honor the city’s diverse communities.
The lively event off the water returned with live music, good food, great views and alcoholic drinks after a brief hiatus.
The event presented by PNC is held every third Thursday of the month from 5 to 8 p.m. Each month during the fall will represent a theme to celebrate the city’s diversity.
September’s event celebrated Latino culture. October will celebrate Caribbean culture, and November will celebrate Filipino culture.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the return of this popular monthly event,” said Chris Kalin, PNC regional president for North Florida. “With a reimagined and enhanced Sip & Stroll, Downtown Vision has created an incredible opportunity for residents and visitors to come together to enjoy our beautiful riverfront and celebrate the cultural diversity of our community.”
The fun doesn’t end at 8 p.m. Strollers can head to the DoubleTree hotel’s pool deck for a free silent disco party.
Paid parking is available at the Riverplace Tower’s visitor lot on 1201 Riverplace Boulevard and the Chart House parking lot on 1501 Riverplace Boulevard.
Boaters are welcome to dock their boats at the Friendship Fountain, Riverplace Tower, or former Diner Cruise docks. Click here to see the dock map.
