A hot, wet Saturday ahead

Expect another steamy summer day across Jacksonville with a mix of sun and clouds this morning before the heat quickly builds through the afternoon.

High temperatures will climb into the mid-90s, but when you factor in the humidity, it’ll feel more like 105 to 110 degrees at times, so be sure to stay hydrated and limit strenuous outdoor activity during the hottest part of the day.

A few scattered showers and thunderstorms will develop after about 2 or 3 PM as the sea breeze moves inland.

ot everyone will see rain, but any storm that develops could produce heavy downpours, frequent lightning, and gusty winds before fading after sunset.

We’ll turn warm and muggy tonight with lows around 80 degrees under partly cloudy skies.
