JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – It could look like rain today but it should hold off until late tonight when showers lightly dampen the roads for the predawn and morning hours Thursday.

It stays mostly cloudy today but by late Thursday afternoon, the skies should start to clear, setting the stage for a relatively pleasant day.
Temperature trends and changes
Today’s afternoon highs will be cooler at the beachside communities, lingering in the mid-50s, while inland areas might enjoy slightly warmer temperatures in the low 60s. By tomorrow, everyone might see temperatures climbing into the lower 60s. Looking ahead to the weekend, there’s a chance we could see temperatures reaching the 70s on Saturday for the first time in a while.
Friday morning, potentially sees a light freeze inland and again next Tuesday.
This weekend will bring some rain on Saturday afternoon with the bulk arriving overnight into Sunday. As much as 1-1.5 inches of rain may fall due to it lingering through much of the weekend before clearing out by Monday for a drier start to the week.
