News4JAX is learning more about a recent study that found the shrimp you order off the menu at many local restaurants is being falsely represented as local.

A study by SeaD Consulting on behalf of the Southern Shrimp Alliance found that nearly 60% of randomly sampled restaurant shrimp in the Jacksonville area are being falsely represented as local, American wild-caught product, including shrimp marketed as iconic “Mayport Shrimp.”
