State Road 21 southbound lane reopens after water main break

CLAY COUNTY, Fla. – The southbound lane of State Road 21 at Weeks Road in Clay County has reopened to traffic following a water main break that occurred shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday.
The Florida Department of Transportation temporarily closed the southbound lane to allow inspection teams to mobilize and assess the roadway. Inspectors worked throughout the day to remove water caused by the break and make the necessary repairs.

Following the repairs, inspectors determined the road was safe and reliable for travelers and reopened it Tuesday evening.
