Mills, who represents parts of Orange, Seminole, Volusia and Flagler counties, was accused of cyberstalking Lindsey Langston, his ex-girlfriend and reigning Miss United States, as well as a Columbia County Republican state committeewoman.

Court records show the couple began dating in 2021 and lived together in Mills’ New Smyrna Beach home. Langston said she left Mills after news surfaced that another woman living in Mills’ Washington, D.C., home accused him of assault. That woman later withdrew her accusation.

Since their breakup, Langston claimed Mills has threatened to release nude images and videos of her, including recordings of them engaging in sexual acts.

But during a court hearing last month, Mills said the messages he sent to Langston were misconstrued, instead saying that he was simply trying to “unwind” their relationship that was coming to an end.

“What you’re seeing here is break-ups are difficult,” Mills told News 6 last month. “The idea that if she’s at risk or there’s a threat that’s being made, you would go to the cops.”

However, Langston told a much different story.

“I panicked. I immediately knew what videos he was referencing,” Langston said earlier this month. “And I was beginning to panic because that could ruin my reputation. You know, I felt comfortable. This was somebody that I was in a relationship with for going on three years - three, four years at this point. There were talks of us getting married, I thought I was going to spend the rest of my life with this person. I never anticipated them using that against me.”

On Tuesday, the judge sided with Langston, issuing an injunction against Mills.

That injunction prohibits Mills from committing violence or having contact with Langston.

In addition, the judge ordered that Mills not make references to Langston on social media.

Attorneys for Langston issued a statement Wednesday:

On behalf of Miss United States Lindsey Langston, Bobi J. Frank, P.A. confirms that the Third Judicial Circuit Court of Florida has granted Miss Langston’s Petition for Injunction for Protection Against Stalking against Congressman Cory Mills.

Miss Langston is relieved and grateful for the Court’s careful consideration of the evidence and its proper application of Florida law.

“Miss Langston feels safer knowing that the Court has issued the injunction,” said her Attorney, Bobi J. Frank. “She is thankful that the justice system functioned as it should—fairly, thoroughly, and in accordance with the law.”

Miss Langston hopes her experience encourages other victims of harassment, stalking, or violence to remain strong and seek help through available legal protections.

“She wants anyone facing fear or intimidation to know that there are resources, remedies, and protections available,” Frank added. “Miss Langston believes in the strength of survivors and the importance of speaking up.”

As the current reigning Miss United States, Miss Langston remains committed to advocating for safety, empowerment, and justice for all individuals affected by harassment or violence.
