Our fickle fall continues, from open windows to air conditioning.
Warming temperatures are expected this week as highs will climb to above seasonal averages before settling near seasonal as rain chances increase. The humidity will make a comeback as well and with a developing low and frontal boundary later this week, rain chances will increase and linger through the weekend.
Warm and mainly dry Tuesday and Wednesday with the chance of afternoon showers and thunderstorms increasing Thursday and Friday as the sea breeze moves inland. A stronger area of low pressure in the Gulf and a front will be the focal point for daily showers and storms this weekend, some locally heavy.
Minor tidal flooding will be possible tonight and early Tuesday along area waterways.
Tonight: Mostly clear and cool with a light breeze. Patchy fog for inland areas.
Tuesday: Patchy fog early then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the 60s and 70s inland, 70s along the beaches. Afternoon highs in the 80s to low 80s inland, 80s along our beaches. Wind: SW/SE 5-10 mph. Patchy fog overnight under mostly clear skies.
Wednesday: Warm and mainly dry. Isolated showers possible. Lows in the 60s and 70s. Highs in the 80s and 90s inland, 80s along the beaches. Wind: SE/E 5-10 mph.
Looking ahead: Rain chances will increase Thursday and Friday and increase in coverage this weekend.
