JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tonight will be mostly cloudy and warm with temperatures in the 70s.
Labor Day will feature a partly to mostly cloudy sky with highs near 90 degrees. Scattered showers and storms will become most widespread in the afternoon and evening along a front.
Make sure to keep an eye to the sky and storms could develop rapidly. Activity will eventually dissipate later in the evening.
Isolated instances of flooding will be possible. Especially for areas that see several rounds of showers and storms.
The front will remain nearby on Tuesday, which will keep scattered showers and storms in the forecast for the day.
Anything that develops will be slow-moving once again and localized flooding will be possible.
Regarding the drought, the latest drought monitor reflects improvement across our area. Several areas have been downgraded to a moderate drought which reflects the rainfall we saw over the past week.
While we are still in a deficit, rainfall will once again lead to more improvement in the next outlook.
