Heavy rain dominated the afternoon into the evening. It continues to linger along I-75 after 8:30 PM. The rain will end late evening. Counties east of Highway of 301 will have minimal light rain.
The heaviest rain will be along the 301 corridor with lighter rain along I-95 and I-75. Flash flood watches are highly likely for today.
Light winds will continue to dominate from the east into the evening, with partly cloudy skies. Isolated storms will begin around 3 PM and end closer to sunset with lingering light rain.
Temperatures will drop into the mid 70s, with high humidity and cloudy skies into the evening. Rain dies off in the evening.
LOOKING AHEAD
Sunday morning storms will approach from the east towards Nassau, Duval, Flagler and Saint Johns counties. Storms will become widespread from 1 PM through 6 PM. Monday are likely during the early afternoon.
TRACKING THE TROPICS
Remnants of Tropical Storm Dolly: Produced lingering rain and storms, located about 300 miles east of the Leeward Islands. So far there is no indication that it will develop into a closed circulation.
Redevelopment of this system is unlikely as it continues to most. The wave could bring locally heavy rains and gusty winds to portions of the Leeward Islands, the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico for the next couple of days.
