The heat continues as strong to isolated severe thunderstorms move across our area through 8 p.m.
A line of showers and thunderstorms will move across northeast Florida and southeast Georgia through around 8 p.m. Thunderstorms will weaken after sunset with showers ending around 10 p.m.
Locally heavy rainfall, damaging wind and lightning will be the main hazards. Thunderstorm wind gusts have reached 52 mph near Fort Caroline.
The Heat Advisory continues through 7 p.m. A Heat Advisory will be in effect from 12 p.m. - 7 p.m. Thursday.
In the tropics: Tropical Storm Cristobal will be short-lived. Friday - Weekend: The heat continues with possible heat advisories. Lows in the 70s, highs in the mid to upper 90s inland, upper 80s to 90s along the beaches. Wind: WSW 5 -10 mph.
