Ready or not: Another hot, hot day ahead
Summer heat is building across Northeast Florida with plenty of sunshine and highs climbing into the mid-90s today.
While most locations stay dry, a 20% chance of an isolated afternoon shower or thunderstorm remains likely.
The bigger story through the rest of the week will be the heat.
High temperatures remain in the mid-90s Wednesday through Friday with heat index values topping 100° at times.
Rain chances gradually increase later in the week, with scattered afternoon and evening storms possible Thursday and Friday.
This weekend looks hot and mostly dry, with highs pushing the upper 90s before rain chances begin to increase again early next week.
