A drier airmass will settle in tonight, limiting the chance of showers and storms to areas between Highway 301 and I-75 to around 20 percent. Mainly dry conditions on Thursday, with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms on Friday afternoon. The heat returns with a streak of 90-degree days through Monday.
The models have pulled back on rain chances for the Holiday weekend. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms will be possible Saturday through Monday, mainly from around 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Overall, rainfall totals remain light over the next 7 days.
