A warm start to the week with record to near record highs through Wednesday. Rain chances will increase on Thursday with locally heavy rain possible.

The Extreme Drought continues with well above average highs to start the week. Isolated showers will be possible Tuesday and Wednesday with increasing rain chances Thursday afternoon and evening. Based on the current timing and models, the rain will end late Friday morning.

Record highs possible Tuesday and Wednesday. The record for Tuesday is 91, set in 1974 and the record for Wednesday is 91, set in 1967.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny and warm. The average high for this time of year is in the low to mid 70s. Wake up temperatures in the 60s. Afternoon highs in the upper 80s to low 90s inland, 70s along the beaches. Rain chances, 10 percent. Wind: SE 5-10 mph. Patchy to dense fog overnight.

Wednesday: Becoming partly cloudy with near record highs. Light southeast wind. Lows in the 60s. Highs in the 80s to low 90s inland, 70s to low 80s along the beaches.
