Rain, glorious rain!
Rounds of rain have moved across southeast Georgia and now the front is slowly shifting south, bringing the wonderful wet stuff to northeast Florida
Rain chances will continue overnight through around 12 p.m. Saturday. The rainfall models have backed off on the totals, with the average now around 0.50 - 1.5 inches. Some locally higher amounts will be possible for our southern counties.
As the showers end on Saturday, partial clearing is expected as the northeast winds increase. Partly cloudy skies overnight with a mild afternoon expected for Sunday.
The breezy onshore winds continue through next week, with a slight chance of sea breeze showers along our coastal counties. Temperatures will warm to above seasonal levels next week with highs in the low to mid 80s by Friday.
Tonight: Cloudy, Light rain along our southern counties. Patchy to areas of dense fog.
Saturday: Patchy to dense fog early with cloudy skies. Scattered showers and isolated storms will be possible through around noon, south of I-10. Skies will begin clearing over SE GA as showers and storms move south, across northeast Florida. Lows in the 50s. Afternoon highs in the 60s to 70s. Rain chances 20-30 percent. Wind: NE 10-15 mph with stronger gusts.
Sunday: Partly cloudy with an increasing northeasterly breeze. A mild start to the day with lows in the 40s and 50s. Afternoon highs in the 60s along our beaches, 70s inland. Wind: NE 5-10 mph then increasing to 10-15 mph.
Looking ahead: Warmer temperatures expected as the onshore winds bring a slight chance of showers Wednesday - Friday.
