JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The threat for severe weather will continue to decrease behind the line of showers and storms. Additional rounds of scattered showers will be possible overnight.
Once the line of activity moves across your area, the threat for severe weather will significantly drop.
Drier weather will return to the forecast beyond Monday as a large area of high pressure moves in. Look for sunshine Tuesday through most of the upcoming week with temperatures approaching 80 degrees.
Speaking of the drought, the latest drought monitor reflects the overall pattern over the past few months. The area of “extreme” drought continues to expand in coverage each week and now covers most of our area.
