Sunshine and mild temperatures ahead for the weekend

Temperatures to stay above normal with highs in the 70s

High pressure will be overhead this weekend.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Tonight will be partly cloudy and cool with temperatures in the 40s and 50s.

Patchy dense fog will be possible after midnight through Friday morning. Make sure to plan extra travel time.

This weekend's forecast.

Little change is expected over the upcoming weekend. Saturday and Sunday will feature plenty of sunshine with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. Patchy dense fog will be possible each morning through early next week.

A front will approach our area on Tuesday, but no rainfall is expected with it. The front will bring breezy conditions on Monday and Tuesday. We certainly could use the rain as we are in a drought.

Seven day rainfall forecast.

We certainly could use the rain, but little if any is in the forecast through the end of the year. Many spots will end the year with over a 10” rainfall deficit and looking ahead into the new year it looks dry

Cooler temperatures arrive early next week.

Colder weather is on the way as we head into the new year! Highs will drop into the 50s Tuesday through Near Year’s Day, and morning temperatures will drop into the 30s.
