JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Break out the umbrella and rubber boots as rain takes over the region ahead of another cold front. The rain will stick around throughout the evening into Sunday morning before the Arctic cool-down plunges into the area on Monday as freezing conditions return leading us into the coldest weather pattern we’ve seen thus far. The potential for snow, sleet, and/or freezing rain remains top of mind, especially as we inch closer to Tuesday evening. Models continuously update the arrival time and amount of wintry precipitation we can expect in our region, but preparation is key.
Saturday highs will tip into the 70s in Northeast Florida, upper 60s in Southeast Georgia. Saturday is a great day to prepare your pipes, plants, pets, and people before the wintry mix arrives.
