Plan Ahead: The good and the bad of this week
Sunday through Tuesday will be the reason people move to Florida; warmer weather. The average temperatures around this time of year are typically in the mid to upper 60s during the day and the mid to upper 40s overnight. However, Monday and Tuesday temperatures will be above average, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 70s and lows in the upper 50s, and low 60s. It’s the break from the cold that we will need after freeze warnings and frost advisories have loomed over southeast Georgia and northeast Florida for the last two weeks off and on. A cold front will approach us Tuesday evening and have an impact for most of Wednesday. Thunderstorms and rounds of heavy rain are possible. After the cold front passes, average temperatures return.
Sunday Night’s Forecast
Temperatures will drop into the mid-50s with partly to mostly cloudy skies and winds from 2 to 5 miles per hour from the south. Humidity will be mild.
Monday Morning’s Forecast
Monday temperatures will peak into the mid-70s as winds continue to come from the south. Low temperatures will be similar in southeast Georgia but the high for Monday will be slightly lower in the 70s.
