The current District 2 commissioner, Republican Jimmy Anderson, is seeking re-election. He faces one challenger in the Republican primary, Ricky Horne. As there are no other candidates in the race, it becomes a Universal Primary Contest and the August primary will be open to all voters in the county.

My top three goals as a commissioner are to protect our hometown values, use taxpayer dollars responsibly, and ensure Baker County remains a place where families can thrive for generations to come.
How can you help voters in a way that others running for this office cannot?
As County Commissioner for District 2, I have worked tirelessly to protect the values, traditions, and quality of life that make Baker County a great place to call home.
Guided by my Christian faith and commitment to servant leadership, I believe elected officials should be accountable and focused on delivering results for the people they serve. Throughout my time in office, I have helped secure significant investments in infrastructure, public safety, economic development, recreation, and community improvement projects that benefit residents across Baker County.
In addition to my public service, I have built a successful career in the construction industry and bring practical, real-world experience to local government. My background as a contractor, combined with my leadership roles at the local, regional, and state levels, has allowed me to advocate effectively for Baker County and help bring valuable resources back to our community.
What would you hope to be remembered for accomplishing after serving in this office?
I hope to be remembered as a commissioner who worked to preserve what makes our community special while building a strong future for the next generation.
