2 cats saved after golf cart sparks blaze in garage of Shearwater home, firefighters say

Two cats were rescued Monday morning from a house fire on Lombard Way in the Shearwater neighborhood of St. Johns County. Firefighters said they believe the blaze was sparked by a golf cart in the garage of the home. Thankfully, everyone in the home was able to escape safely after they were alerted to the fire by a smoke detector, firefighters said. No injuries were reported.
