If an additional weekend is needed to complete the work, the same closure will be in place Friday, Jan. 16 through Monday, Jan. 19. During the closure, drivers should use the Buckman Bridge as a detour and plan additional time to reach their destinations.

In conjunction with the bridge maintenance operation, project teams will also be completing accelerated paving work on Leonard C. Taylor Parkway (State Road 16) between MOBRO Marine and the Shands Bridge.

Single lane closures will be in place in this area throughout the weekend, with access to residences and businesses in this area managed by a traffic flagger.
